Privacy information
Who I am: The Human Connections Project is run by me, Yasmin Saleh, trading as The Love Whisperer, and I’m responsible for your data. You can contact me at [email address]. My ICO registration number is [number].
What I collect: your answers to the survey, including anything you write in the optional text boxes. I don’t ask for your name, email address or any other details that could identify you, so please leave these out of your written answers.
Why I collect it: to understand more about loneliness and connection. I’ll share what I learn openly, for example on my website, on social media and in my books, and I’ll use it to improve my own work. This may include short quotes from written answers, with anything identifying removed. Nothing I share will identify you.
Sensitive information: some questions ask about mental health, loss and childhood experiences. I only use your answers because you’ve given your explicit consent by ticking the box before you start.
Where it’s stored: your answers are held by my survey provider, Formaloo, on servers in the European Union, under a data processing agreement.
How long I keep it: [period, for example three years], after which it’s deleted.
Your rights: you can contact me with any questions about your data. Because your answers are anonymous, I can’t identify or remove them once they’ve been submitted.
Newsletter: if you join my newsletter, your email address is stored separately from your survey answers and is never linked to them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Complaints: you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
